The Entertainment Producer is responsible for developing and managing a high volume & variety of in-person Global Entertainment tours; measuring the effectiveness their effectiveness & impact.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Duties)

  • Responsible for all aspects of the event management, production process & execution for assigned tours. *
  • Coordinate all logistics for assigned USO tours, including but not limited to travel and lodging, shipping and storage, equipment rental, setup and breakdown, reconcile expenses and maintain multiple databases to inform departmental reporting of assigned engagements. Prepare, review and present plans and reports, including but not limited to production packages, briefing packets, budgets, financial and after-action reports.*
  • Serve as liaison between internal USO staff and key stakeholders involved in planning, coordinating, implementing and managing in-person tours.
  • Foster collaboration to maximize program reach and impact.*
  • Identify new locations that require critical Global Entertainment programming & suggest appropriate programmatic options to the Global Entertainment team.
  • Measure and evaluate existing programs against well-defined, specific measurement goals. Identify gaps and recommend new content pillars, program elements and technologies to address these gaps in effort to increase Global Entertainment’s audience.
  • Solicit bids, review and select local contractors and vendors based on technical demands and requirements. Manage on-site production support services and staff.*
  • Maintain working relationships with U.S. Military leadership, coordinating tour production efforts where appropriate.
  • Create and maintain working relationships with current and potential partners and key stakeholders to generate support new tour opportunities. *
  • Establish documented goals, track outcomes, coordinate with Talent and/or their representatives, create & implement event promotion and publicity materials, maintain departmental reporting and track and report on financial items and inventory, maintain procurement compliance and execute timely after-action reporting for each engagement*
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field.
  • 5+ years progressively responsible work experience in an entertainment tour producing role that included travel. Relevant experience in a charity, not-for-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
  • Working knowledge of fitness, music, TV, film, sports, pop culture. General awareness of complex cultural sensitivities of a variety of domestic and international locations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a high-performing team. Ability to adapt and adjust to a rapidly changing environment with little or no advance notice. Able to remain on call during productions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate to a diverse audience at a variety of levels using multiple channels with diplomacy, tact and poise.
  • Knowledge of various software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint and Outlook, Photoshop. Prior experience using social media and online communication tools in a business environment preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact with USO Leadership, the general public and military audiences at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalism. Ability to nurture, manage and influence external military and civilian partner and/or vendor relationships.
  • Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment. General knowledge of various software, applications, and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects. Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise.
  • Must show initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities. Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.
  • Ability to coordinate complex schedules and logistics, to think creatively and problem solve. Ability to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform basic business/accounting functions including project management and budget reconciliation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status, valid driver’s license.

Details

  • This position may be worked remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Up to 75% travel including frequent trips to isolated and dangerous locations with regular exposure to extreme desert elements (heat, wind, sandstorms, etc.).
  • USO locations will adhere to local area and DOD guidelines regarding COVID vaccination/testing requirements. Employees may be required to be vaccinated or tested regularly per local requirements.
